Debbie uses her life experiences as inspiration, to create honest, storytelling art; using dance, aerial, physical theatre and cross art form collaborations in either captured images or live performances.

Making the soul feel more connected, open & whole x

After finishing a diploma in Edinburgh, Scotland in 1999, Debbie started her professional life as a Fitness/aerobic instructor.  She had a desire to travel and found herself living and working in Australia.   She was gratefully sponsored by Hilton Hotels, and helped them to set up ‘LivingWell Health Clubs’ in Australia.  Working in Melbourne firstly then on to Brisbane as the Junior program co-ordinator.  She met some life long friends and absolutely loved the lifestyle!

After 5 years she returned home to follow her dream of becoming a performing artist, which at 25 years of age is a little later than many begin…. but she had a clear vision and a determined spirit.

10 years later Debbie’s vision became a reality after receiving funding from Creative Scotland to create a show about her personal life story, touring across Scotland with ‘In Her Shadows’.   It’s never too late to follow your dreams and make them come true!

She has taken courses at; The Hangar, London, NoFit State Circus, Wales, Mimbre acrobatics, Acrobalance with Fons Bennick, a masterclass week with Cie Drapes Aériens in France working with Fred Deb, Jacques Bertrand & Ana Prada.
